Lester Bixler, the third cousin three-times-removed on the mother's side of Nigel Horne, was born in Indiana, USA c. May 1884. Like his father, he was a laborer. On Jun 1, 1900, he lived at 19 Richardson Street, Fort Wayne, Allen, Indiana1.

He died on Oct 7, 1901 in Jeffersonville, Clark, Indiana (typhoid) (lester M. Bixler, son of Mrs. and Mrs. William Bixler, of 190 Runnion avenue, died Monday evening in Jeffersonville from typhoid fever. He was 17 years and 4 months old. The remains will arrive in the city Wednesday morning. The funeral announcement has not yet been made. Fort Wayne Journal Gazette, 9 October 1901, page 3) and was buried at Prairie Grove Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Allen, Indiana after Oct 7, 1901.
