Jane Culmer, the three times great-aunt of Nigel Horne, was born in Kent, England c. 18351, was baptized in Hoath, Kent, England on Jan 4, 1835 and married Thomas Cladish in Canterbury, Kent around Aug 18613. She had 1 child, Phoebe, whose father is unknown.

Throughout her life, Jane lived in several places: in Blean, Kent on Jun 6, 18411; at Doll House, Blean, Kent on Mar 30, 18514; and in Blean, Kent on Apr 7, 18615 (the same place as her parents had been living on Jun 6, 1841) which is where she died c. Jan 18622. She was buried there on Jan 12, 1862.
