The daughter of Jackson Swain and Charlotte Serjeant,

Idella Swain, the second cousin four-times-removed on the mother's side of Nigel Horne, was born in Fort Wayne, Allen, Indiana, USA on Nov 23, 18531 and married William F C Bonter (with whom she had 1 child, Claude Swain) around 1871.

Throughout her life, Idella lived in several places: at 3252 Fulton Street, Chicago, Cook, Illinois, USA on Apr 15, 19101; at 332 West Woodland Avenue, Fort Wayne, Allen, Indiana, USA in 1915; and at 2201 Calhoun Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana on Apr 15, 1930 following the death of her husband on Aug 3, 1913.

She died on Aug 30, 1930 in Fort Wayne and was buried there at Lindenwood Cemetery after Aug 30, 19302.
