Lily Dane, the second cousin twice-removed on the mother's side of Nigel Horne, was born in Faversham, Kent, England c. Feb 19061 and married Ernest Manuel (with whom she had 1 child, Christine) in Wentworth, Ontario, Canada on Apr 24, 1926.

Throughout her life, Lily lived in several places: on Two Brewers, 1 Quay Lane in Faversham on Apr 2, 19112; on Dalkeith Avenue, Hamilton, Ontario in Nov 1923; and on 44 South Road in Faversham in 1923. In Nov 1923 (sS Montclare.) she arrived in Quebec, Canada (sS Montclare.).She traveled from Liverpool, Merseyside, England on Oct 25, 1923.

She died on Feb 24, 1968 and was buried at Woodland Cemetery, London, Middlesex, Ontario after Feb 24, 1968.
