Rachel Peters, the first cousin four-times-removed on the father's side of Nigel Horne, was born c. 1825 and married Horatio Atkinson (with whom she had 2 children: Arthur Bowden and Charles P) in New Brunswick, Canada on Jul 22, 1847.

She died c. 1900.
