Thomas Mount, the four times great-uncle of Nigel Horne, was born in Sturry, Kent, England c. 18141, was baptized there at St Nicholas' Church on Mar 13, 1814 and married Sarah Holness (a charwoman with whom he had 10 children: Jane, Mary, Thomas, Elizabeth, William, Caroline, James, Alfred, Sarah Ann and Alice) at St Martin's Church, Herne, Kent, England on Jul 14, 18383.

Thomas spent all of his life in Kent, England. Throughout his life, he lived in several places around the county: at Mortimer Street, Herne Bay on Mar 30, 18516; at King Street, Herne Bay on Apr 7, 18611 and on Apr 2, 18714; and on Salts Lane, Herne Bay on Apr 3, 18815.
