Kirby Witherden, the six times great-uncle of Nigel Horne, was born in St Peters, Thanet, Kent, England c. 17231, was baptized there on Feb 17, 1724 and also married Sarah Beake (with whom he had 4 children: Hannah, Mary, Sampson and Susannah) there, on Feb 16, 1754.

He died c. 1801 in St Peters1,2 and was buried there on Sep 29, 1801 (KFHS CD29)1,2.
