Alice Troward, the 6 times great-grandmother of Nigel Horne, was born in St Lawrence, Thanet, Kent, England c. 1680, was baptized there on Jun 10, 1680 and also married John Cowell (a yeoman with whom she had 11 children: John, Sarah, Edward, Benjamin, Jane, William, Troward, Martha, Beaton, Joseph and Mary) there, on Jul 16, 17002. In 1700, she lived at her birthplace4 (the same place as her father had been living on Mar 16, 1679).

She died on Jan 28, 1743 in Margate, Kent, England1 and was buried there at St John the Baptist Church c. 1743 (KFHS CD28)1,3.
