Jane Culmer, the four times great-aunt of Nigel Horne, was born in Stourmouth, Kent, England c. 18171,2,3,4 and baptized there on Jul 20, 1817. She was married twice - to Edmund Griggs (in Oct 1839 in Stourmouth) Henry Hogbin (in 1849 in Eastry, Kent, England, following the death of Edmund in Oct/nov/dec 1848)5.

Throughout her life, she lived at her birthplace in 18411, in 18612 (the same place as her mother had been living in 1841) and in 18713.

She died in Jul/aug/sep 1873 in Eastry4.
