The 5th of 8 children of Thomas Sergeant and Telitha Crance,

Isaac Sargent, the second cousin four-times-removed on the mother's side of Nigel Horne, was born in Allen, Indiana, USA on Oct 29, 18601,2 and, and was orphaned at the age of 15 following the death of his father in 1873 and mother in 1875.

He was married twice - to Rachel Vanwey (on May 22, 1879 in LaPorte, Indiana, USA) Rosa Harsh (on Jul 3, 1892 in Nebraska, USA, following the death of Rachel Agnes on Jun 29, 1887). He had 4 children: Ray, Essie Elanora and Calbert Leroy with Rosa Lucinda; and Alvin Edmund with Rachel Agnes

Throughout his life, Isaac lived in several places: in Pleasant, Indiana on Jun 1, 18604; in Hanna, Indiana in 1870 and on Jun 8, 1880; in Valley, Polk, Nebraska on Jun 2, 1885; in Canada, Polk, Nebraska in 1900; in Polk, Nebraska on Jun 1, 19005 following the death of his wife on Jun 29, 1887; and in Osceola, Polk, Nebraska on Apr 15, 19103.

He died on Mar 4, 1918 in Polk, Polk, Nebraska1,2 and was buried in Osceola, Polk, Nebraska after Mar 4, 19181.
