Arthur Horne, the second cousin twice-removed on the father's side of Nigel Horne, was born in Ramsgate, Kent, England on Jul 25, 19091,2, was baptized there at Christ Church on Aug 15, 1909 and also married Lily Marley (with whom he had 6 children: Arthur Richard, David Edward, Richard John, Dorothy E, John and Marion Rose, along with 4 surviving children) there at Holy Trinity Church, on Dec 26, 19326.

Throughout his life, Arthur lived in several places: on 30 Royal Road in Ramsgate on Apr 2, 19111; on 12 King Edward Road in Ramsgate on Jun 19, 192112; on 47 St Patricks Road in Ramsgate on Sep 29, 19392; and on 41 Vale Road in Ramsgate in 19539, in 19558, in 196310, in 19657, in 197411 and in 1984. He served in the navy from Jun 26, 1929 to 1939.
