Samuel Bennett, the three times great-uncle of Nigel Horne, was born in Preston, Kent, England on Sep 10, 18481,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10, was baptized in Preston, Wingham, Kent, England on Oct 8, 1848 and married Emma Hougham (with whom he had 5 children: Rosa, Albert, Emily, Mabel H and Ellen) at St Mildred's Church in Preston on May 17, 188012.

Samuel spent all of his life in Kent, England.
