The daughter of John Pool and Frances Serjeant,

Mary Pool, the second cousin four-times-removed on the mother's side of Nigel Horne, was born in Fort Wayne, Allen, Indiana, USA on Dec 24, 1842 and married John Howe (with whom she had 4 children: Mary, Charles Benjamin, John P and Samuel) in Fort Wayne on Oct 6, 18641.

Throughout her life, Mary lived in several places: in Wayne, Allen, Indiana, USA on Sep 13, 1850; in Lewis, Clay, Indiana on Jul 18, 1860; in Jackson, Gentry, Missouri, USA on Aug 8, 1870; in King City, Missouri in 19102 and on Apr 15, 19103; and in Gentry on Jan 1, 19204.

She died on Feb 14, 1922 in King City, Missouri (apoplexy) and was buried there at King City Cemetery after Feb 14, 1922.
